Position Summary:
MGIS is an International School with IB certification, where English is the language of instruction. The Math & Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both mathematics and science, fostering a dynamic, engaging, and supportive learning environment that aligns with the IB philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the curriculum standards and learning objectives. Utilize a range of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Incorporate technology and other innovative tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance. Oversee and regulate student behavior in line with school policies.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress. Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Student Support and Engagement: Offer additional support to students needing extra help through tutoring or individualized learning plans. Encourage and challenge students to reach their full potential in mathematics. Promote a growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning.
• Professional Collaboration and Development: Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and enhance instructional quality. Engage in professional development opportunities to remain informed about current teaching methodologies and subject knowledge. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and stakeholders about student progress and classroom activities.
• Contribution to School Community: Participate in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities as required. Contribute to the development of mathematics-related programs, such as math clubs or competitions. Support the school’s mission, vision, and values in all professional interactions.

About the Role: As a Math Teacher at Abdulaziz International School in Riyadh, you will play a crucial role in ensuring students’ success and helping them reach their full potential by implementing the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching math classes using the provided lesson plans and the SABIS® point system.
• Marking exams related to the taught subject in accordance with the schedule and departmental guidelines.
• Discussing disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Ensuring a conducive learning environment in the classroom.
• Proctoring exams and managing the test environment.
• Providing support to academically low-performing students.
• Preparing students for external exams as necessary.
• Participating in student life events and activities.
• Attending training sessions to enhance understanding of the SABIS® system and improve student performance.

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or its equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
